The side deck studio is back in action! Jill made a lovely jewellery box and I continued with my glass vase/bottle. To be continued...

Colour your world!

Today I am going to rummage around and find my canvases and paints. I have been absorbed in knitting blankets for the orphanage in South Africa and mosaics....but today I need to paint!

Jill's mosaic

Jill has been creating a wonderful mosaic tray. She has combined cut tiles in shades of green, blue and earthy tones to make a design inspired by the patterns in nature. This is ready to grout in white to match the tray. Looking forward to seeing the finished artwork which is going to look just fantastic!

My masterpieces!

I love scouring second hand stores for treasure. Found this sweet little bottle and thought it would be perfect for my "Van Gogh" tiles. I am working on one surface at a time so they don't slip off! Finally finished my picture frame which is ready to be grouted. Great way to survive the heat wave!

Mosaic afternoon

These wonderful mosaic coasters were done by my talented friend and her equally talented daughter. They are ready to be grouted today! Very cheap coasters can be easily purchased from a discount store and turned into an unique work of art. Keep posted for the end product. Will look fantastic and be a great talking point :)

Mosaic masterpiece

My son created these geometric ceramic coasters. Ready for grouting tomorrow! Lots of fun and easy to do. Cheap coasters from the discount store, Weldbond glue, some time and patience and away you go :)
